This is a super place to stay. It's in the middle of Tralee, which can be very convenient. Car parking arrangements are not ideal, but it works and is free of charge. The hotel itself is excellent. The bedroom wasn't huge, but it was adequate, very comfortable and warm. The en-suite facilities were perfectly fine. Food was excellent. Good breakfasts, including the usual combinations based on "full Irish" and two choices of fish. All nicely cooked. We ate in the bar. There was a wide choice of food. What we had was properly cooked, delicious and reasonably priced. Staff everywhere in the hotel were excellent. Professional and friendly. The hotel is very traditional. I don't think there is a lift, but help with cases etc. is available. My conclusion is that this is a great place to stay, and if we return to the area, it will be to this hotel.
We had a great stay, I would highly recommend all aspects of the hotel... check in, rooms, food, bar and ambiance! Kieran Collins - Ballincollig Crusaders Cycling Club
I've stayed in this hotel a few times and from the highly polished terracotta tiles and plush 'olde worlde' seating in the lobby its like a taking a comforting and elegant step back in time - marry this with the friendly staff, superb breakfasts, and bouncy beds and you too will want to make it your go to place when you are in need of pampering.
Couldn't rate the Grand Hotel Tralee highly enough for location, comfort and a genuine Kerry welcome. Christy KENNEALLY
